There are many reasons an individual undergoes hypnosis and smoking is one of them. There is a great need to improve one’s health by quitting smoking for good. There are several tips you can use to help you get through the smoking cessation process in order to quit smoking for good. Quitting smoking is a difficult thing; many people need all the help they can get.

There are many reasons to consider hypnosis and smoking cessation. Hypnosis is a natural process that is drug free and has a high success rate for those who are motivated to stop smoking. People who succeed at hypnosis and smoking cessation have a lower rate of going back to smoking again than if they used nothing or even a nicotine patch. You should continue to smoke up until the time you undergo hypnosis. The hypnotist will induce you by having you count backwards from ten or counting to ten while having you imagine you are descending a staircase into a deep hypnotic trance. Another session of hypnosis and smoking cessation work may need to be done to keep the person from having a relapse after they have quit smoking. This can involve work related to long term triggers that can make it difficult to have a person remain a nonsmoker. Some suggestions related to long term triggers include “You will be able to be around smokers and not have the urge to smoke” or “You will not have the urge to smoke when you see a smoker” or “Your spouse can smoke and you don’t have to”. These are perhaps the most important suggestions that a person can receive. These are the suggestions that make a person a nonsmoker for life. It keeps them from the long term triggers that can derail even the most motivated of individuals. Using these suggestions periodically are what creates success in the process.
