You as well as your treating physician are both quite convinced that Cerebral Palsy is not curable and could only be prevented with some outside treatments that are both costly and time consuming. It might not have occurred to you in your despair that your child may not be suffering from CP at all. So all the expensive Cerebral Palsy treatments you are providing for your child might not be necessary at all.

Children who suffer from some type of disabilities or other have many problems that are common to them. Most prominent among them is the problem of effective communication with family members and outside world. Some of these disabilities might closely resemble with Cerebral Palsy and this may lead you to believe that your child is suffering from the dreaded disease, while in reality he or she is not.  Children, who have spinal cord dysfunction, face such problems like non-sensitivity of skin but it is not Cerebral Palsy.

Moreover the severity of the problems caused by such injuries may vary from time to time. The disorders that are primarily of muscles, nerves, and bones may not be considered as Cerebral Palsy. It is true that few will able to exactly explain what is Cerebral Palsy but there are certain symptoms that definitely point towards existence of CP and these symptoms are not available in diseases that resembles CP but looks like CP.
