A process in which, a kind of biological matter or say specimen taken from an individual to determine previous intake of the drug is known as drug testing. If a person is tested very early or after a long duration, after the use of drugs,it may be possible that you may not get results in human urine. Drug testing is divided into two general groups. The first group is the common and a familiar to most of the people. It includes simple sample testing of urine, blood, hair, oral fluid etc. The other type is an on-site, which means, the drug testing that does not need a laboratory.
EtG Testing or Ethyl Glucuronide(EtG) testing is done to check presence of alcohol. This kind of Urine testing offers a complete pane for detecting consumption. This test requires expensive equipment to perform and has not been usually used.
To detect the presence of ethyl glucuonide in the human urine samples a biological test known as Alcohol ETG urine test or alcohol testing is done. When a person has an intake of alcohol a special compound glucuronic acid (found in the liver) starts reacting with it and forms Ethyl glucuronide and acts as a metabolite. You see the results showing that Alcohol has vanished and that too within few hours but you can still find some of the ETG particles remain in the system for as long as 80 (approx) hours.
Urinalysis or say urine drug testing is a procedure that requires a small amount urine sample. It is very easy because it only uses a test card or you can send the urine sample to the laboratory directly. Urine can not detect drug use that is currently taken. It takes approximately 6-8 hrs, post-consumption for drug to be metabolized and excreted in urine.
